Golden Instinct Bugged

Do the devs have hidden treasures hiding outside the map? Because Golden Instinct seems to think so!  I've been playing with this for the last week or so and a lot of the time this ability trails off into a wall which leads to nowhere,  At first I assumed it was just doing a shortcut through the environment but today I played a mission on Mars and the trail leads of into a wall, so I run around to the nearest point where the trail led and sure enough the trail leads back into the wall in the direction I came from.

You guys needs to rework this ability, have you any idea how frustrating  and time wasting the ordeal is especially given how much time and effort we put into unlocking this ability in the first place?  It would make a lot more sense to replace the badly mapped trail with a burst AoE affect which marks the target for us, it's not a lot to ask imho.
