it still seems bizzare to me that each faction would make weapons specifically tailored for killing themselves. 

 

but, yes. that's exactly what Lanka is for.

The Lanka was meant from the get go to annihilate Corpus, and now it is really easy to mod it to do Magnetic Damage, which is even more powerful against Corpus. Weapons now have specializations, not all of them are viable for all factions. It's better to know your stuff before complaining or making an assumption. Use Ice mods and electric mods to boost your magnetic damage. Extremely powerful against Corpus of all levels.

 

The old triple/double damages are gone man ..... look at the new bonuses ..... the best bonus against someone is held by viral (x2 agaisnt grineer) all the rest are lower. Magnetic does not do x2 against shields, it does x1.75.

There is a post floating around /r/Warframe concerning the Lanka in damage 2.0.

Apparently, it now has the highest in-game single shot damage, easily breaking 30k on a critical headshot.

 

The thing's a beast, if not a little inefficient for sustained fire... but hey, that's what the sidearm is for :p
