Quick Question About Weaponry And Equipment

Hello fellow Tenno!  New PS4 user here.  I had a quick question about which weapon I should actually purchase for my Loki frame.  He's more of a support character as I use invisability to heal downed players and use decoy to draw enemy fire, as well as Radial Disarm to force them to drop their guns.  I prefer mid-range, a bit of distance to my enemy, so I can support and see the battlefield and react accordingly to what's happening.  I was actually looking at the Primary weapon Latron, as it's blueprint is quite cheap and the pieces to get it arent very hard to come by.  The wiki praises it's accuracy and damage, as well as how silent it can be.  But I'm very unsure as it would still be an investment and I'm not very familiar with many of the weapons, and I could easily put that time into getting another weapon that may be even more useful to me.  I'm asking for any opinions as to what I should do, are there other primaries I should be looking into for my particular play style?  How about Melee or secondary weaponry?  All suggestions would be much appreciated!

If you are a celebrated marksmen that can hit weakspots 9 times out of 10, you'll love your Latron.

 

If you miss alot, you'll drop it and pick up the regular Braton.

 

If you still can't hit anything, you may want a shotgun at that point :)

Hmm.  What shotguns would you recommend?  If I do want to go that route, it would be nice to have a place to start.  Something that can deal decent damage while maintaining a good magazine size.  I'm checking it out on the wiki right now, but not exactly sure where to begin.  =(
