resolution scale not working correctly after the update

resolution scale seems to not work correctly after the new Abyss of Dagoth update.

This top image is 1920x1080 rendered at 70% resolution scale, The bottom image is natively rendered at 1366x768 Screenshot_2023-10-19_143257.png?ex=6543

the top image rendering at 70% of 1920x1080 should mean that the game would be rendering at 1344x756, and in return give about the same fps if not, more compared to running the game at native 1366x768 (Bottom image). However this isn't the case ( for me at least ) after the update. As 1920x1080 rendered at 70% resolution scale gave me the same fps compared to running the game at native 1366x768, before the update. Im guessing this has something to do with the new Abyss Of Dagoth update because only after the update i noticed that the render resolution is not working the same compared to before the update.

Another thing i noticed is that the image quality doesn't degrade that much compared to native besides for being just a tiny bit more blurry.

Native 1920x1080 Screenshot_2023-10-19_152443.png?ex=6543

with rendering the game at 50% render resolution 1920x1080, i should get a lot more fps compared to native 1920x1080 or even more than native 1366x768 but as my screenshot shows, something is not working right with the in game render resolution.

the top image being native 1920x1080, bottom 50% resolution scale 1920x1080. Both zoomed in by 146%

1920x1080 50% res scale doesnt seem to have such a noticeable image degradation compared to the native 1920x1080 but also doesnt have a huge uplift in FPS. I think that the new update somehow changed the values of the resolution scale

I like to play with 1920x1080 70% render res as i like the sharper UI but dont want to throw away the performance so i lower the render resolution.

PC specs:

i7 1165g7

Iris xe, with latest drivers

I think it's not applying resolution scaling to all elements or aspects of the scene, like the UI as one example; it might be better to use upscaling via FSR rather than their legacy dynamic resolution / resolution scaling, since this only affects 3D rendering anyways, so you can render at fixed lower resolutions. Dynamic was meant to be automatic and may be less performant at fixed intervals compared to newer technologies, I'd see if that meets your needs instead.

i have played with the resolution scaling prior to the update and its performance was similar to 1366x768 as i put 70% render resolution. All i can is that the resolution scale feels off, i think they may have done something with it or mistakenly have, and about FSR i noticed i got worse FPS on quality and balanced compared to native, only the performance option gave me a slight boost in fps

I've also noticed resolution scale seems to be off. I constantly run at a fixed 50% without uppscale or AA (low end laptop on integrated graphics), but since this update I lost 20 FPS on average and 50% definetly looks higher quality.
