Returning to warframe...again.

Hello.

I took another break from Warframe. This time it's been over a year. I think I stopped sometime after Zariman was added. I wasn't enjoying the grind there. I don't like treasure hunts or looking for collectibles. I just found it tedious and I just wanted to move on to something else. The new warframes that came after Sevagoth were not that appealing to me either so I just stopped playing. I even missed the anniversary.

Now with new story quests added I've started to feel the itch to come back. Feeling rusty I played some old missions to relearn the game. I still have a bunch of things to do that I didn't finish before I left (liches, weapons, railjack, etc). I'm MR 28 by the way.

 

Before I dive into the new content I have some questions. You don't need to answer them all.

1. For the warframes that came before Sevagoth have any of them had any buffs, nerfs, or reworks? I noticed Hydroid has had some changes but in a good way. I won't bother talking about weapons because there are too many to count. 
2. Is Viral+Heat still the got-to-element combo? 
3. Is modding a melee weapon for only heavy attacks still viable?
4. I don't play a lot of eidolon hunts but what kind of amps is everyone using now? 
5. Is Hydron still a good place to level up gear in public groups?
6. For the weapons you craft in Zariman do they have any specific uses or just mastery fodder? I'm not going to enjoy going back there.

Is Hydron still a good place to level up gear in public groups?

I personally like Santuary Onslaught better for leveling up.  

For the weapons you craft in Zariman do they have any specific uses or just mastery fodder? I'm not going to enjoy going back there.

They are Incarnon weapons, where you can unlock their Incarnon form and really rack up some nice damage.  You can also get Incarnon parts for other weapons that you can install by playing Steel Path Circuit on Duviri or purchasing them direct from Cavalero.  I really like the Boar Prime Incarnon at the moment.  As far as uses, they are great all around weapons with the capability to fry a group of enemies quick.

Well, guess I got to finish the Duviri Paradox first then. I finished Veilbreaker and completed my first archon hunt though I will need to upgrade some weapons for a less tedious fight.
