John Prodman didn't spawn in Index

I played 1 hour 25 minutes of Index and John Prodman didn't spawn. I looked around after the fact and other players say that he's supposed to have a red waypoint and spawn less than two minutes after the one hour mark. I saw no indication of him spawning at all. Here are the details of the run:

-Mountain Index map

-Solo (I was on "friends only" but I played the mission alone)

-I was killing enemies at a decent rate (531 total kills)

-I was running around the map

His spawn must have been bugged, and I'd rather not run that challenge again until this is patched and I'm sure that he'll actually spawn.
