Level 30-40 Enemies: Suicidal?

Question

First off I know that Damage 2.0 has effectively doubled the difficulty of enemies.  A Level 30 enemy in Damage 2.0 is like a Level 60 enemy in Damage 1.0.

I just played a survival mission on Saturn (Keeler.)  To say we got stomped would be an understatement.  We were slaughtered.  The first 5 minutes were okay.  After that all hell broke loose.  By the 10 minute mark we were being insta-fragged and our weapons were reduced to mere pea shooters.

What I don't understand is that I was able to hold in previous survivals until level 100s started popping up.  Then it was overwhelming.  Now level 30 (really 60) is overwhelming.  I have 1406 hitpoints of combined health and shields.  Level 30 would wipe that out in seconds.  Level 40 would wipe that out instantly.  My best weapon, the Brakk, is able to hold up well against level 30.  Level 40 is where it is almost completely useless.  I also have a Soma but I find the Brakk to be more reliable these days than that.

What is going on?  How am I managing to fail so spectacularly?  Are enemy levels multiplied 3x instead of 2x?  Do I have a massive disconnect from the game mechanics now?

I don't know what problem you're having but I'm still slaughtering Pluto infested survival with breeze with my weapons. I can also solo Xini about 25 waves or so, didn't want to risk for more so I stopped but next time I'll go for 30 and I did that with just Embolist, not even maxed. It's sitting on level 21 at the moment.

this new scaling of enemies in survival missions is just plain stupid. it was fine before u would run for 35 mins and then have to run for the exit but now u have to run after 15 mins coz enemies are getting to lv 50+. :(
