IDystopiaI
The way recommended damage is presented to the player makes it seem like modding for a certain damage type is detrimental. The void for instance says I should never take radiation damage there but making use of the status effect does make enemies there easier to fight because it impacts the enemy support units like Orokin Drones, Ancient Healers, Eximus and provides some CC. https://imgur.com/a/7vVI1JH It also feels like it primarily enforces only using a few damage types. Impact, Puncture, Corrosive/Magnetic, while making other damage types feel like they aren't worth modding for, though there are a couple exceptions like the Void which recommends viral and Sanctum recommending Radiation. matt11mz
It is only a resistance, though, not an immunity. The old damage system did this too, this way is just clearer and more streamlined. Pretty much, 99% of the time, you can ignore it if you aren't a new player or doing steel path endurance or something.
