Mirror defense randomly doesnt allow extracting or continuing

Just did 4 rotations of mirror defense on tyana pass, however after the fourth rotation me and the other two got stuck at the extract or continue screen, we we're only able to use chat and swap our decision between extract and continue, which did not fix the issue, a little while later, we "failed" the mission, which resulted in us not getting any of the rewards, or completing the nightwave mission

 

possibly of note is that one person had left after 3 rotations, but was not the host, so no host migration occured
