Would A Sword And Shield Weapon Concept Be Too Far Fetch For Warframe? What Do You Guys Think?

So with the release of Oberon and how he suppose to be like a paladin based war frame an idea kinda occurred to me. Would a sword and shield weapon fit into the world of war frame? or is this idea way too far fetch for war frame? Let me know what you guys think.

Eh, blocking is such a minor part of melee combat that I'm not sure having a proper shield would make much difference.

Right now no, though if blocking was changed to be more useful then I suppose it would be possible for a SnS weapon.

I would love this kind of weapon. Maybe with impact damage on shield strikes and slash damage on sword ones during combos. 

However we need diversity in melee weapons, even though I'm waiting for the new melee system first.

blocking needs to be fixed anyway, i think a sheild would be a nice edition

I am going to 100% back you up on this. They NEED a shield and sword/axe/mace to go with our good Pally frame. We could also use a Rapier for those of us who prefer classy weapons that can actually kill Grineer fast and easy. Because daggers and the Jaw Sword are the only piercing melee weapons I know of...

Yes i recently thought of a shield concept too^^ i think it would compliment a "full melee" build very well! :)
