Edgefield
Just a random thought. Why not have a primary weapon that is all based on imparting knockdown and statuses. The basic concept is a long cone (like an old fasioned blunderbuss LINK: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17ty5b1rvfwv5jpg/ku-xlarge.jpg)with beep-boops all over, maybe some tron lighting. Have it run off shotgun ammo, cause that's essentially what it'd be. Uh...I'm no good with stats, but here goes. 1 pierce 1 slash 190 impact 100 accuracy .8 fire rate no crit 45% status chance 10 mag 2 sec reload semi-auto trigger When you pull the trigger, a ring of light moves from back to front, activating the lights and stuff on the weapon as it passes. Out the business end comes basically a smoke ring, but instead of smoke, it'd be light. The ring would start about the size of a cantaloupe, and end up the size of a hula hoop. For range, I think 40m is fair, as that gives you some breathing room. If you hit someone from 0-15m, it should ragdoll them and throw them around 10m away. From 15-30m, the enemy should recieve a stagger for about a half-second. From 30-40m, they should only be staggered for around 5 frames. For polarities, it should have a dash and a triangle (not the y like serration, the other one) as that would give you the ability to make sweet elemental combos. immolator1001
I think it'd be cool if at farther ranges it was more of a chance to stagger with heavy units more likely to shrug it off and light units more susceptible to being staggered.
