Firerate On Semi-Auto Dual Weapons Is Broken, Solution Idea:

Im really baffled by the ongoing trend of dual semi-auto pistols just having more fire rate for more DPS - its completely misleading because it doesn't work at all.

Its like if DE designers don't playtest the game -  its physically impossible to click more than 7 times/second AND Warframe engine limits the fire rate with framerate. Its impossible to achieve the stated firerate on AkBolto even with macro @ 60 FPS. In my tests 40 clip goes away at ~4 seconds while the fire rate stats are 20+ and macro sends 25-50 clicks/second.  This makes ~10 shots per second an engine limit (or do you need 120 FPS to fire 20?)

Recent Akmagnus comes with impossible fire rate out of the box already, slap on Lethal Torrent and it exceeds engine limitation even with macro.

Solution that comes to mind: do 2 shots per click on duals to make the high fire rate achievable. Except AkLex, it doesn't need the fire rate (or any other dual weapon that has fire rate below 7)

Of course there is still hope that some day maybe they will fix framerate limiting the firerate.

or make left and right mouse buttons fire each weapon respectively. it would increase fire rate and actually reduce accuracy because you can't aim. that would make ak-weapons work as advertised. How do you even aim 2 weapons at once?

They put a hard cap on how fast secondaries could fire a long time ago if I recall correctly because of the mouse scroll wheel thing, maybe that is what you have found.

Hard cap isn't a problem, problem is that it's less than a stated firerate. It's called nerf, you know?

Well it does work, look at vanilla Lex against AKlex.

Try reading the whole post plz, its not that long. AkLex only has fire rate 2 (3 with Torrent)

Makes even less sense to release weapons with fire rate that exceeds some hard-cap limit of the game. Needs to be addressed.

Interesting idea, this makes sense and works in many games, where left-mouse is alt-fire  and can be different function depending on a weapon.
