AirshipSlice
Can only occur during Corpus/Grineer invasions and only on Deception and Sabotage missions. This would be a choice when you click on the invasion node that works like a Nightmare Mode. You can either choose Onslaught or Normal. Two teams of Tenno are pit against each other, each team consisting of Tenno that chose either Corpus or Grineer. Tenno who chose Grineer will spawn on the Grineer side of the map, and those who chose Corpus spawn on the Corpus side. The maps would be twice as large with twice as many paths to get to the other side. Each side would have a Reactor or Navigation Console to defend and attack. Each team would go after the other team's reactor or nav console. There is a chance the teams will meet up and fight, but because of the extra paths, there's also a chance they would never meet up. The target would not appear as a waypoint on the mini-map, you'd have to search for it instead. You would have to fight through mobs and possibly Tenno to get to the target. If you are killed by mobs, you can either be revived by a team mate or use a token. If you are killed by a Tenno, you can ONLY be revived by a team mate. Once you are downed by a Tenno and are not revived, you are out and moved to a spectator mode. Once in spectator mode, you can only follow team mates, you cannot ghost around and find the target then direct your team to it. The teams would be 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4. Never uneven number of players and the balancing is based on each player's Conclave rating. That way, a brand spanking new noob would never be teamed against OR with a pro with like a 700 conclave. You can do an all-out assault on the other side and have all team mates go out and kill, leave half of your team to protect your target, or sit on your buts and have the entire team stay and protect. Strategy is up to your team. If both teams decide to sit and protect, there is a penalty. If the teams wait too long and don't engage the enemy, a countdown starts. If you haven't killed even one enemy mob in that time, both teams lose, it ends in a draw, and no one gets any kind of reward. No resources, no mods, no bp, no affinity, nothing. Once you have destroyed the reactor or uploaded the data mass to the nav console, you have to get to extraction on the side you spawned on. Be careful though, the other team can hunt you down and kill your team. If everyone on the evac'ing team is killed, the round is ended in a draw. If even one enemy gets to evac, that team wins. If both teams have destroyed their target, the first team to evac wins. If a draw is the result, no points are given to either side of the invasion and you get average rewards. You still get points towards the node reward, though. You get great rewards if your team wins. You get minimal rewards if you team loses. If your strategy is to have some defend and the rest attack and you team wins, you get even better rewards than if your team simply won. Thanks for reading, leave comments of any kind below. I don't care. Criticism, woo. Bashing, woo. Liking, woo. The name is set, but willing to change it. I came up with this Mission Type in about 30 minutes, so it's not as polished as it could be, but I think that's DE's place to do if they accept it. I can't think of any way to better it, either. AirshipSlice
It's not meant to be only pvp, I don't even pvp. Not in any game. Unless there's an event with a reward I can't pass up.
