Boboknight11
I am revising this because my old post did not properly explain how this weapon worked. So I am making this post to explain the weapon properly. The weapon would function like the ignis is some ways: it would be continuous and have an AOE cone. And different from the ignis is some ways: would have a much tighter cone, does not have the same type of "explosion" that the lgnis has, would have slow projectiles that would be effected by gravity, and is more of a defensive weapon then a short range crowd control weapon. The stats: Weapon type = primary (rife)Trigger type = heldMastery level = 6Element = Fire Damage per second on hitting enemys = 150Damage per second on surfaces = 50Mag size = 50Fire rate = 10Reload time = 4.0 secStatus chance = 20.0% secCrit chance = 0.0%Crit damage = 0.0%The basic idea is that you would be shooting a liquid out at your enemys that would stay on surfaces and enemys and continues to do damage to that enemy it was sprayed on or the enemys that walk near were it was sprayed on a wall or floor. Details:Would be a clan tech weapon (from the cem labs of the grineer with a high material requirement)Would have a mod to slow down enemys when going through sludge (would be a rank 10 rare mod that goes up 5% per level for a maximum of 55% slowness)When hitting the zoom button the projectile travel speed will be increased by 2x (this is to help at longer ranges by reducing the effect of gravity but also reducing the spread of the cone by half)Would work with volt's shield (woot! long range sludge spray)The visual element effect of the sludge would be a black by default (can be changed by changing energy color)liquid that would have the elemental effect of fire or whatever element was combined with the base fire element (like the lgnis. So if you were to put a poison mod on it you would see that green gas effect coming from the liquid)Can spray on team mates and self (aw yeah >:3)Can hurt self but not team mates(aw come on :()When stuck to walls would have .25 meter radius of AOE damage around the part were the sludge landed and would stay there and do damage for 1 minute (AOE increased by the mod firestorm. Also damage does not stack when sprayed on a surface for longer periods of time)When stuck to enemys would have .25 meter radius of AOE damage around the part were the sludge landed and would stay there and do damage to the enemy it landed on and all other enemys within the radius for 5 seconds (AOE increased by the mod firestorm. again damage does not stack)When using a multishot mod it will just add the % amount of multishot directly to the damage (90% multishot = +90% damage)If an ally's incendium sticks some sludge to the same spot that you have then they will stack on top of each other (so if you both spray at the same spot with an unmodded incendium then any enemy walking over that spot will take 100 damage)The 150 damage per second is only when the stream directly hits the enemy. The sludge that stays on the enemy only does 50 damage per secondWould have gravity on sludge streamThis weapon is meant to be a defensive weapon and is not made for short range (as you can easily hurt your self by spraying it on near by enemys or surfaces and because of the small mag size and long reload time)Please leave any criticisms, suggestions, or complements is the comments. also feel free to ask questions if you don't understand something and I will try my best to answer them. Please leave a comment and a 1+ if you liked this weapon idea. Boboknight11
added details telling what happens when you use multishot or when allys use the weapon. also fixed a glitch that happened while I was editing.
