Seratuhlis
(We can work on this together as a community! Please suggest GOOD changes/ideas and I will update this concept) We've seen purely offensive warframes, utility defensive warframes, and hybrid warframes... but never a true, defense focused warframe. So in my free time, I thought up of a pure tank warframe that should out-tank Rhino but not outdo him in utility. Bastion: The Unshaken, a warrior who's powers greatly enhance his defensive capabilities as well as allies around him. Name: Bastion Gender: Male Theme: Heavy Defense Base Stats: Health: 200 Power: 100 Shield: 150 Armor: 300 Sprint Speed: 0.8 (speed nerf from 0.9, Bastion is now slower than Rhino) Polarities: 4x Power, 2x Defense, 1 Defensive Aura. Abilities: #1 - Taunt (Cost 25) "Bastion points at the enemy and shouts, simultaneously demoralizing and luring them towards him" - Long range taunt power that aggros enemies towards Bastion. - Does not do any damage. - Slightly debuffs the enemy, and debuffs stack to a certain limit. - Enhanced by power strength, range, and duration mods. #2 - Nerves of Steel (Cost 50) "Bastion encases himself in a protective shield, protecting himself from all damage" - Similar to Iron Skin in function, but aesthetically, uses a transparent shield that surrounds his body. - Grants immunity to Stun, knockdowns, poison, explosions, damage, etc so long as the shield is up and is not past its breaking limit. - More powerful than Iron Skin. - Slightly decreases Bastion's speed ( a nerf on my end ) - Regenerates shields while on. - Slowly regenerates health (think of ticks of 10-25). - Does not completely nullify the Vampire Effect Challenge of nightmare mode. - Enhanced by power strength and duration mods. #3 - Iron Curtain (Cost 75) "Bastion summons powerful shields around his allies, further increasing their survivability" - Summons shields around allies within a radius, greatly protecting them from damage as they move. - Shields are duration based, and will fade for a certain time until casted again. ( nerf suggested by Galactix) - These shields greatly enhance the shield regeneration rate of allies, their armor rating, and grant them immunity to poison and knockdowns. - Ability strength also scales with the armor rating of Bastion. - Enhanced by power strength and efficiency. #4 - Call to Arms (Cost 100) "Reinforcements are incoming, Tenno" - Bastion summons a squad (4) of Excaliburs, armed with bratons, latos, and skanas. - Summoned Excaliburs are timed, and will return back into the void/dojo after their timed is up. They will also disappear (individually) when each one is killed in battle. - Summoned Excaliburs use Radial Blind and Slash Dash as their only powers. - Number of Excaliburs summoned depends on power's mod rank ( 1 excalibur per mod rank). - Summoned Excalibur's stats scale with Bastion's armor, health, and shields. - Enhanced by power strength and duration mods. - Summoned Excalibur's combat AI should behave a lot like the Stalker's (minus the Stalker's obvious OP'ness) Aesthetics: Possible aesthetic ideas for Bastion. - Bastion is taller than Saryn and Rhino, and is heavily armored. - Not as chunky/fat as Rhino. - Has boots as thick as Frost's. - Has heavy pauldrons, partially inspired by Oberon's. - Pauldrons are also bigger than Rhino's and Oberon's, but not too big. - Has a heavier knight-like appearance compared to Oberon. - Does not have a tabbard-like chest piece like Oberon. - Has a Corinthian/Greek/Spartan inspired standard helmet. - Has a back skirt (think Frost or Volt) but has a crotch spike ( think Volt or Rhino ). - Alternate helmets inspired by Gladiator Helmets and Gothic Sallets. - Stance animations that make him look stoic and determined, fitting his noble defender nature. OptimumBow0
Too OP. Especially the ult. Which is why DE mercifully gave us an "Edit" button. Though I don't see how four, timed Excaliburs equipped with the base weaponry, which is most likely unmodded, is too OP. But if you say so (I think it's all fine and dandy though; just a little tweaking is all.)

But if you say so (I think it's all fine and dandy though; just a little tweaking is all.) The weapons are unmodded, and although the summoned Excaliburs are capable of killing enemies, they're primarily there to be used as a substantial distraction ( as in a distraction that will last long enough to get to a downed ally or to get to an objective ). This guy was meant to be a defensive juggernaut, and although his ult is powerful, it cannot outdo the instantaneous damage and utility of Molecular Prime and Rhino Stomp. OptimumBow0
This is a ninja game, not call of duty in the future in space. I believe you mean the game "Halo". Also, what does this have to do with the concept? Are you comparing the killstreak of K9 units in COD to the ult?
Seratuhlis
This is a ninja game, not call of duty in the future in space. There is no Call of Duty in this concept. Call to Arms is a phrase that has been around since the earliest human civilizations. It means "get your weapons and fight for your king/god/country". I find it hilarious that people associate the words "Call of" with Call of Duty.

Galactix
-Nerf ult pls. -2nd skill is too close to Iron Skin, and his 3rd skill is an Iron Skin cast on allies. -Taunt ability is pretty decent, since the enemy aggro system runs on targeting single enemies at a time, normally the closest. -Think of a theme to go with this concept; most of the frames have some sort of representation (zephyr = air, mag = magnetic force, ember = fire, etc.) -I like the name -Fish for president 2016. OptimumBow0
ITS AN COMPLETE REWRITE OF RINO DID YOU PUT ANY REAL THOUGHT INTO THIS AT ALL. IS RINO NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.Couple of things:1) Caps Lock. 2) It's pretty clear a lot of thought was put into this. 3) The only similarity between this frame and Rhino is Nerves of Steel. That's about it. Edited March 3, 2014 by OptimumBow0
Seratuhlis
-Think of a theme to go with this concept; most of the frames have some sort of representation (zephyr = air, mag = magnetic force, ember = fire, etc.) His theme is "Heavily Armored Knight", sort of how Ash is Ninja themed while Oberon is Fantasy Paladin-Druid themed. Bastion's design would be based on medieval knights and Greek spartans of olde. ITS AN COMPLETE REWRITE OF RINO DID YOU PUT ANY REAL THOUGHT INTO THIS AT ALL. IS RINO NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU. Low quality bait. Thats op but still good Not as OP as most people think, Bastion can tank, but not nuke. He's a defense specialist compared to Rhino, but lacks his overall utility ( AKA damage buffs, pure offense capabilities, and a nuke ult).

Seratuhlis
-Nerf ult pls. -2nd skill is too close to Iron Skin, and his 3rd skill is an Iron Skin cast on allies. - You're right about the 2nd one, but I made it that way ( to my dismay ) so that it can sync better with his taunt, Bastion would need great survivability when every enemy in the room decides to go after him instead of allies/objectives. - The 3rd one is a much needed, but we can nerf it a bit by making it timed instead of limit-based like Nerves of Steel. - Again, the ult isn't too powerful, because these AI controlled Excaliburs are not players, meaning they would sparingly spam their only two powers. They also don't have supper modded gear and are time based, they are only there to support you for a while before teleporting back to the void.
