A more Melee knight/swordsman type frame that would be more resilent and geared toward mobility/survivability. I will make some pics if i get some support, just don't want to spend a few hours drawing everything up if no one likes the idea =P I'm lazy: Base Stats: health:125 Shield:125 Power:100 Armor: 65 Stamina: 80 Aura polarity: Attack Ralic's Abilities: 1. Flash Slash: cost: 25 energy (can be modded) Power: 150/200/250/300 (can be modded) Damage type: Slash damage Duration: none Range: 5/10/15/20m (can be modded) Explination: This Ability is a short range teleporting slash, where your teleported directly infront of your enemy and perform a melee attack. This ability can only be used on enemy targets. ability also stuns target for 2 seconds enabling follow up melee strikes. 2. Taunt: cost: 50 energy (can be modded) power: none Damage: none Duration: 2/5/7/10 seconds (can be modded) Range: 8/12/14/25m (can be modded) Explination: This would be a AOE skill that would cause all enemies to run towards you (within 10m) and to attack you for the Duration, since your more of a melee front line type of warframe you can use this to pull all enemies attention to you and allow your allies to attack with out threat of retaliation. This would be one way to close the distance and dispatch them through melee attacks 3. Enrage: Cost: 50 energy (can be modded) power: none Damage: none Duration 2/4/6/8 seconds (can be modded) Range: none Effect: Speed increase 5/10/15/20% Explination: This is a self buff move that grants you mobility and resilients, it is a full heal and speed buff all in one. This skill instantly grants a full shield and health restore plus a speed buff for the duration. 4. Cresent Slash: Cost: 100 energy (can be modded) Damage: 300/450/600/750 per strike (can be modded) Damage type: Slash damage Duration: 1/2/3/4 seconds (can not be modded) Range: 15m (can not be modded) Explination: you start to channel and your melee weapon becomes a giant energy blade that you swing completely around you. This attack does damage by a per swing basis. Each revolution takes 1 second to swing extremely fast around yourself. So at rank 3 your looking at a maximum base damage of 3000 slash damage if all 4 strikes hit. Enemies are still able to move freely around and could get out of the way if not taunted or if seeking cover. Final look: What we have is a warframe made to spearhead offences by drawing them in and then slashing them to peices, all while being resilient enough to take some hits and be able to support his team by taunting enimies to himself. more of a Tank/attacker roll. Flash Slash: So, it's a cheaper cost than Ash's Teleport or Loki's Switch-Teleport, does the stun that Teleport does, AND deals melee damage. Why not just give Ash melee damage from his wrist blades upon Teleport instead? 2. Taunt: This sounds a lot like the aggro ability that DE described when talking about the upcoming Focus system. 3. Enrage: So... Valkyr's Hysteria. Minus the invincibility and mandatory melee. 4. Cresent Slash: While semi-interesting, it's kind of silly to imagine a frame twirling around. It would need to have a wide range, which is the opposite of what a melee character means, and that's a lot of damage for an attack that literally nobody, faction or tenno alike, would be able to outrun within the 4 seconds that it would be going for. That said, I very much want a melee-specific frame that ISN'T Valkyr, but there's too many varieties of melee weapon in the game now for DE to make a specific character type, like swordsman, heavy hammer, dagger rogue, etc, especially with Melee 2.0 coming in. Akihoshi Posted March 5, 2014 Author Share Posted March 5, 2014 I thought that Excalibur is a pretty sufficient melee frame While I do like Excalibur he doesn't really feel like a melee frame, he slash dashes in and AOEs most of the time, his blind is optional but in the end I wanted something a little more... sword like i guess, he throws blades with his ult ability. so he is more like a knife thrower than a melee. SD and RB are my fav abilities on him, so I would say mostly he is more of a highly mobile knife thrower =P A full heal for 50 energy? hmm... just the heal and speed buff, I could go for 75 I suppose if you feel that would balance it out, trin has a full heal/invici for the whole time for 100. this is just yourself and you get a short speed buff. Only other real heal in the game is Oberon.... which is hardly a heal. your better of just smashing people for the healing orbs. was just about to say... I would also say that Excal is pretty squishy aswell minus his blind he cant take damage. And valkyr as well? I could see that, but in both examples they have 50m range and can tele to anything targetable, where this can only tele to an enemy which limits your mobility to being aggresive instead of tactical. Also Ash tele 25 and loki 50 energy, both of which are more ninja based where both can tele while invisable where Ralic would be vul to other units. 2. could you link this? I didn't realize they were planning on an agro table for mobs? 3. I'd say more like trinity's ult without the invic, just the heal and speed to get going quick. 4. Have you seen the charge attack for the Jak Kittag? when I draw the example it will be simular to that, not your warframe spinning like a top lol one of my other ideas where to change the abilities by weapon class equiped, such as if you had a heavy weapon, skill would change effects to compliment a slow heavy weapon and opposite that for someone equip with daggers, but with Melee 2.0 coming soon I decided to hold off to see what they will change if they will incorporate something like that in the system already.
