Venarge
We have so many awesome ideas for new enemies. I simply thought we could gather them in a list to give a more open insight for the devs. This list is meant to be for all suggested enemies. New ones and the old ones. I will make a category for every race. In these categories, I will add the suggested enemies and name the person who came up with the idea. If there already is a thread for this kind of enemy, I will post a link of the original thread under the suggested enemy. It would be awesome if people who already came up with some ideas would send me their threads so I can implement them to the list =)Why do I create this thread in the gameplay section? Because they have the chance to change the gameplay with their effects and abillities. They are actually an opportunity to make the gameplay more interesting and diversifiedCORPUSCorpus Blade Master by VenargeCorpus Techmaster by Venarge So the idea for the Techmaster was that he is using all kind of corpus technology. He is wearing a Volt like skirt and some cool loking corpus signs on his bodies to make him differen from the others. He is able to spawn drones which can teleport him from one to another drone. Another abilitiy from the drones would be his hover skill. The Techmaster is not walking. his drones hold him to make him more agile. He can easily use his drones to hover away from your melee attacks. The other drones would shoot with their lasers at you. A possible way to defeat him would be to destroy the drones first, so he cant teleport to another one, and after that, take him under fire Air Support Unit by KyleOne "For the Corpus can have some air support like from Terminator 2. Maybe we don't destroy it, but we shoot off it's guns. Then it has to leave and our body-mold ship can come get us." Holo Machines by Stygi "little machines that create a holographic sphere so when you get close to them, you see false things." Flashers by Stygi "flashers, little bots that run around the ship and flash you" Hacker Osprey by Cakes "Latches a long range beam on to your sentinel. Disables your sentinel's ability/gun during the hacking as the sentinel's AI is fully devoted to counterhacking. After the hacking is done, the sentinel is hacked and will begin shooting you. A beam of light will be maintained between the sentinel and Hacker, and the hacking is removed by killing the Hacker Osprey. The more Hacker Osprey linked to to the sentinel, the faster the hacking process. All linked Hacker Osprey must be killed prior to regaining control of the sentinel.Tenno with new technological companions have been recorded by security cameras on Corpus ships. After some time, a countermeasure has been designed and placed in mass production to turn these machines against their Tenno masters." GRINEER Anti Tenno Squad by DSMK2 The Red Cleaver by tentacleface762Grineer Tank by KyleOne "For the grineer, that tank we destroy in the sabotage-type missions. Let it roll out and have some weak points we can target. Or better yet--we have to jump on it and melee it's Hatch (or whatever) to get to the juicy morsels inside." Grineer Monstrosity by Stygi "grineer who are considered half fail/success. They have exceptional skills in using nerve-based mecha suits but have weak bodies. Super armored with large caliber, non-automatic guns coupled with homing missles or emps. Therefore, mechas." Grineer Medical Officer bye Cakes "Same tier as the Grineer Commander. Not quite an elite unit, but not quite your common grunt. Has no offensive capability, but is commonly protected by two Shield Grineers. Is capable of casting Blessing, fully healing nearby Grineer and granting a fleeting immunity to damage. Tends to stay behind the firefight and falls back to another squad/platoon when most Grineers in the room have fallen. With all their cloning capabilities, Grineer technology has long be able to perform regenerative medicine at the battlelines. Though most commonly assigned to Grineer platoons on planetary surfaces, increases in Tenno infiltration of Grineer ships and bases has led headquarters to reassign lesser Medical Officers to smaller task forces." INFESTED Flesh Eating Infested Plants by TheNexusCloudFlying Infested Enemies by TheNexusCloudInfested Drake by KyleOne "The infested can have something like those flying dragons from Lord of the Rings--the ones that swoop and attack the guys defending the walls. In the game, I could see a similar creature -- no ranged weaponry at all -- that occasionally swoops down into the open snow areas and really disrupts us. Pants get soiled. Awww yea :)" Infested Shrieker by Stygi "they cause screen shake and loud noise" Infested Crawlers by Stygi "they slam you from the ceiling or spray stuff at you that eats away at armor." Infested cocoon by Stygi "evolution based, break them open to face half-formed strong foes, let them mature to face strong fully formed foes. The enemies spawned would have extra traits like developed legs, claws etc." Infested Pariah by Cakes "An infestation that horribly twists the Grineer Sawblade into an unstable form, a few Pariahs often lurk behind a pack of Chargers. Somehow in the infestation process they maintained their ability to teleport behind to the player. Their hits do not pack a punch, and is incapable of staggering the mighty Tenno. The attacking limb of the Pariah is so unstable, it explodes from the impact. The fluids from that explosion contaminate a large surface area with a sticky mucous, slowing down the movement of any non-infested who happen to traverse that area.An infested that can appear in the far distance, often laging behind a tidal wave of infested. It is shunned by other infested, as it has never been deemed weak by the other infested forms. There is little intelligence regarding this new infested form, but reports have indicated their bodily fluids to be adhesive and avoided at all costs." KyleOne
Now that we have the open snow spaces, it would be great to have a truly large enemy. 1) For the grineer, that tank we destroy in the sabotage-type missions. Let it roll out and have some weak points we can target. Or better yet--we have to jump on it and melee it's Hatch (or whatever) to get to the juicy morsels inside. 2) For the Corpus can have some air support like from Terminator 2. Maybe we don't destroy it, but we shoot off it's guns. Then it has to leave and our body-mold ship can come get us. 3) The infested can have something like those flying dragons from Lord of the Rings--the ones that swoop and attack the guys defending the walls. In the game, I could see a similar creature -- no ranged weaponry at all -- that occasionally swoops down into the open snow areas and really disrupts us. Pants get soiled. Ferriwind
For corpus: -little machines that create a holographic sphere so when you get close to them, you see false things. -flashers, little bots that run around the ship and flash you(too much?) For grineer: -grineer who are considered half fail/success. They have exceptional skills in using nerve-based mecha suits but have weak bodies. Super armored with large caliber, non-automatic guns coupled with homing missles or emps. Therefore, mechas. Infested: -shiekers, they cause screen shake and loud noise -ceiling crawlers, they slam you from the ceiling or spray stuff at you that eats away at armor. -cacoons, evolution based, break them open to face half-formed strong foes, let them mature to face strong fully formed foes. The enemies spawned would have extra traits like developed legs, claws etc. Edited March 30, 2013 by Stygi
