New Mission Type?

What if there was a mission type where you had no real goal but to explore and look for the secrets of the tileset where there would still be enemies spawning all over but the mission is just to explore and do what you want and then you could extract when you want

The only down side i see, is that it would really be a survival mission, made SUPER EASY without the use of life support. Maybe if you had to find some sort of object of sorts, or other thing, AND THEN stay and go as you wish. Its a decent idea, but would be WAY too easy to farm from. Does that make sense?

It's actually a simple mission structure that could work but only on later planets or even the Badlands nodes. Sorta like the old Raid type mission, but there are a variety of objectives like kill a certain target, deactivate a machine, etc. Encourages exploration and generates a much larger tile set than normal missions to give a small sense of an open world. Could litter some of the levels with RNG placed collectible lore pieces such as like the audio logs in Bioshock.

 

But you're right, it would be too easy to farm. It's too bad people will just steam roll these missions as you explore a map filled with weak &#! level 75+ mobs :D
