Power Slots For Melee?

Hi,

 

i got Crossign Snakes mods recently and thought : what the heck, imma equip Dual Ether and try it out. But then the strangest thing happened : the stance slot has a Power polarity (the skratch mark, those used for warframe powers). As far as i can tell, only the machete stance uses it. So is this a bug or does it mean next stances introduced will use a power polarity?

They already do. There's more than one stance mod for a lot of the melee types.

I see, so if i want to use the rare mod....i have to format my weapon? More time wasting in sight.
