Warframe Concept - Aina, The Nitrogen Warframe

okay, this is my first concept here, so be gentle plz - I thought Aina up on the spot last night, so she's "as fresh as can be"

 

Name: Aina

Ability type: Nitrogen

 

Stats

Health: 100/300 (Unranked/30)

Shields:115/345 (Unranked/30)

Energy: 200/300 (Unranked/30)

Armor: 30

Speed: 1.1

Stamina: 100

 

Abilities:

Push: Aina sends forward a shot of compressed Nitrogen, which pushes the enemy back. When the enemy touches an object, be it a wall, the floor, or another enemy, he explodes, and is propelled in another (random) direction, causing another explosion when he touches another object, etc.

Damage: Lvl1 - 50dmg on the initial push, 100 from touching explosion, 1 explosion

Lvl2 - 75dmg on the initial push, 125 dmg from touching explosion, 2 explosions

Lvl3 - 100 dmg on the initial push, 150 dmg from the touching explosion, 3 explosions

Lvl4 - 150 dmg on the initial push, 200 dmg from the touching explosion, 4 explosions

Cost: 25 energy

 

Offense Armor: Aina projects a Nitrogen shield in front of her, which not only absorbs all damage for the duration, but also sends it back to the enemy in the form of a shockwave when the ablity ends. Offense Armor is attached to the frame, so Aina can move around and block attacks from whichever direction she desires, while also choosing the direction of the shockwave. Each attack on the shield is accumulated and then returned with additional punishment.

Damage: Lvl1 - Duration 2s, 25% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+3=15dmg returned)

Lvl2 - Duration 3s, 50% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+6=18dmg returned)

Lvl3 - Duration 5s, 75% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+9=21dmg returned)

Lvl4 - Duration 8s, 100% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+12=24dmg returned)

Cost: 25 Energy

 

Nitro-Trap: Nitro-Trap creates a circle of liquid Nitrogen around Aina, essentially trapping every enemy which walks into it. While Aina can leave the circle whenever she pleases, the enemies are limited to only walking around inside of it. After the ability ends (or is detonated remotely either by Aina or her Alliies) it causes an explosion which damages every enemy inside of it. The principle is simple - any additional damage must be inflicted by the enemy himself - ergo, a Grineer soldier trying to shoot a Warframe will end up stacking the damage in the circle. However, the shots will still reach the frame, dealing damage normally! For enemies attacking with melee, it is recommended to use someone as bait inside Nitro-Trap, as they will obviously not attack otherwise.

Damage: Lvl1 - Duration 4s, 25% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+3=15dmg returned)

Lvl2 - Duration 6s, 50% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+6=18dmg returned)

Lvl3 - Duration 9s, 75% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+9=21dmg returned)

Lvl4 - Duration 12s,100% additional damage returned (eg. 12dmg absorbed= 12+12=24dmg returned)

Cost: 50 Energy

 

Almighty Push - Aina's final ability is essentially an extension of her primary ability. The difference is, she pushes all the enemies up to a certain distance. The principle is the same, every enemy can "bounce" from a wall/object/another enemy to create additional explosions. 

Lvl1 - 50dmg on the initial push, 100 from touching explosion, 1 explosion

Lvl2 - 75dmg on the initial push, 125 dmg from touching explosion, 2 explosions

Lvl3 - 100 dmg on the initial push, 150 dmg from the touching explosion, 3 explosions

Lvl4 - 150 dmg on the initial push, 200 dmg from the touching explosion, 4 explosions

Cost: 100 energy

 

The Concept Itself

Aina was designed to be a more offensive version of a crowd-control Warframe. Her abilities are centered on trapping, moving, and obliterating enemies with not only her powers, but also the damage of the enemies themselves. Those principles make her an ideal choice for long defense missions as well as survivials, as she can clear a room as quickly as, for example, a Nova could. 

 

Reasons For Particular Stat Choices

Health: She obviously can't have a lot of health, as that would make her overpowered

Shields: Instead of Health, i chose Shields, as it will not only ensure survivability, but also stand in league with the size of the frame (read on)

Energy: I wanted her to have a lot of energy, more than the frames that came before her, so she could use her abilities with quick succession, while not worrying about running out of energy in the heat of battle.

Armor: A unique choice, something between the "fragile" 15 armor and the "normal" 65 armor - it is up to the player whether to increase this stat or not

Sprint speed:In league with her appearance (again, read on), Aina should be a little quicker than the standard 1.0, to move around the battlefield fairly quickly

Stamina: Again, the same as the previous one - we wouldn't want for her to run out of stamina in a dangerous situation, would we?

 

Appearance: I based the appearance of Aina on one word - Flow. Ergo, she has quite a lot of moving parts, and also seems to be a bit delicate. A bit on the smaller side, her armor looks like a robe, complete with a hood-like helmet. Additional helmets could include an unhooded-version, and she could also receive her own syndana - someting adding even moar particles to her "robe" maybe?

 

So, that's it - sorry for the lack of pictures, I'm not much of an artist. Maybe I'll make something when the mood hits me :)

1st power bit OP. suggestion: make it deal 50 impact initially and 50/75/100/100 on explosion

2nd is nyx absorb which is her ultimate so OP again. suggestion: when attacked to nitro armor redirects X% with a 100% knock down and status effect of the element, and increase to 50 energy

3rd fine but cheap. suggestion: increase energy to 75

4th replicant of first and mol prime, it's hard to pull replicants off the second one not such a big one as it's in the 4th place as well. suggestion: make it a little more unique, how you do that is up to you
