A Bunch Of Minor Things That Annoy Me

I know DE are working on a lot of things at the moment, hence why i've waited so long to actually write this thread, but meh, if you don't mention it it never gets done right?

1. The Pangolin Sword. Its not easy to get, it only appears in alerts, but.. what does it do? .. ill be honest it has nothing special about it, it doesn't specialise in anything, and nearly all of the other melees are actually just plain better. the Wiki even says its weaker then the chronus..

 

2. Frost Prime. Why is he so... plain? he has no gold on his whole body, except a little tinge of gold on his backpack thingy on the side, but even that gets faded with vibrant colours, ember gets gold all over, same with mag, but frost just... lacks in appearance.. he doesn't even have a decent channeling colour. 

3.Banshee/Steath. We all know she's gonna get looked at. But i believe people would like to know a bit of info on what DE's thinking about her... her 3 is the most underused ability in the game, and even though stealth missions are coming in the future, will be only be an advocate for that?

4.Furax. The only thing it had going for in Melee 1.0 was its charge damage, its been completely left out now, and considering fracturing wind is the most common stance mod in the game, you would have expect it to have gotten looked at.. why have a Furax when you can go for the Ankryos prime now?

5.Rifle Aptitude. That rifle mod that increases status chance by a max of a whopping 15%, but costs a messton of 9 slots...um.. please explain.. why do these exist when there are duo mods that give 60% and an element that only cost 7?

6.Mag Pull. When your not Hosting, Mag pull doesn't ragdoll anyone, they just trip..

7.Corpus doors with Lasers with cameras on the OPPOSITE side of the door. .. Yeah..

and finally,

8.Needing Platinum only in order to buy Warframe slots/Weapon slots. the games supposed to be free to play, in order to keep playing the game you need Warframes/Weapon slots, and the only way to gather that is... Platinum..
Platinum should only be for shortcutting , and cosmetics, it shouldn't be a prime thing in the game needed to progress, and considering that you only get 2 Warframe slots at the beginning of the game, you simply cannot progress far without it.

Yes trading is an option now, but even that is tedious, you need to farm really rare things in order to trade for decent Plat, and for newbies, that simply isn't possible with the told you have given them.

The thing about platinum is DE needs to make some form of money. And buying plat for warframe/weapon slots is really cheap. 75 plat for 5 bucks gets you plenty of slots if you really need them. And you can get 12 plat easily through trading.

I really and truly do agree with you  that DE needs to make some form of money however, since the games release, look what people buy platinum for, Affinity boosters, accessories, helmets, Rare mods, loads of things.

In my opinion, buying it with Plat doesnt have to be something that gets removed, but maybe if they added another way to get them, such as 1,000,000 credits or something, then it at least adds to the grinding part of the game.

So if you wanna buy a new warframe slot,  20 Plat, or 1,000,000 credits.
Weapon slot,  2 for 12 plat, or 1 for 500,000 credits, or something like that

1. Haven't used it in melee 2.0, but it used to be the fastest sword and I believe it had the highest status chance of any sword.

2. It has to do with the materials on the model. It's a "maybe" thing, but very low priority.

3. The way they work, DE itself doesn't usually know what it's going to do until shortly before they do it--they think very carefully and analyze a TON of feedback. Patience young grasshopper.

4. I wouldn't compare a hard-to-get prime weapon to one of the cheapest pieces of gear in the game. That said, compared to the regular ankyros, it's slower, but apparently(if the wiki is right) has a superior blast radius on the attacks where that matters. May need more, would have to test.

5. They've said they like doing mod balance passes in batches, because it's easier to fix 30 at once than to fix one by one, 30 times in a row. It's coming.

6. Haven't noticed this, but that should be a bug rep.

7. They're on both sides. Doors aren't hard to pass. Not a big deal.

8. You are totally free to sell any and all of your weapons and warframes at any point. Buying another slot is shortcutting, and shortcutting is something you advocate as a use of plat. <.<

Platinum is needed for progression?

 

It doesn't cost 5 plat to play a mission on Earth. Warframe slots are there for convenience, not as a progression inhibitor, since you can still get everything in the game. Just sell your old stuff. Or, and again, people will pay you plat for a Tranquil Cleave. DE gave us the option to get the more valuable in-game currency without spending a dime.

 

1. Novelty? Mastery fodder? It's just something to play around with, I guess.

5. Fairly certain that they will eventually lower the cost. When they first came out, I think it made it into Community Hot Topics, but they either forgot, or they're busy working on other stuff.

6. I think I saw a dev say they're working on restoring ragdoll when you're not the host. It's a latency issue.

In some tiles, cameras spawn FACING the door, so as soon as you open it and run through, the laser comes on. Not deadly, but certainly quite annoying.

I don't know much people who would play this game that don't already play it.

 

Plus the only person I "refered" was before I knew this existed, and was by word of mouth...

 

Doubt everyone knows 10+ people who would either A) like the game, or B) play the game anyway just for them
