FoxFX Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Sup Tennos. FoxFX bringing in a new Boss Concept. This time, I'm bringing in a new boss with a unique style of fighting. Breakdown of the Heretics The Heretics are basically Corpus that have derailed from the mainstream merchant cult. Consider them like outer space pirates. Under the guise of their leader, Ter Evarg, a former Council Member and a high rank soldier amoung the Corpus, the Heretic Crew have been well trained for combat. After the events that the Tenno defeats Ter Evarg, a terrible event occurs where Lotus's home base gets hacked and vital intel about her and the Tenno are stolen. Lotus tracks the hack and later on discovers that the master mind behind this attack is none other than Ter Evarg's first mate: Min Abal. During the time Ter Evarg founded the Heretic sect, there was another stream of hacking crimes all over the Corpus networks. These hackings resulted in almost hundreds of licensed merchandises pillaged under an hour. Before Corpus Security finally caught and attempted to end the life of the hacker Min Abal, he was then saved personally by Ter Evarg. Evarg then offered Abal a chance to utilize his hacking skills to serve as his right hand man in which Abal humbly agrees. After Ter Evarg's defeat at the hands of the Tenno, Min Abal took it upon himself to lead what was left of the Heretics and planned a devastating attack on the Lotus and the Tenno for retribution of his fallen savior. Min Abal is a very peculiar character that not only finds amusement in agitating others, but also grows a fondness of ancient societies and prefers to behave reflecting such society. The one ancient society he found the most fun to act upon reflects a society he discovered from an ancient satellite he discovered in Earth... Now for the Boss MIN ABAL Behavior: Min Abel speaks "LEET" language. Yes, he speaks LEET, and most of the time he will use this language to annoy the Tenno to no avail. Min Abel will not reveal himself during the boss fight unless the Tenno finds 4 servers they must sabotage. By the time the Tenno search for the 4 servers to destroy, Lotus's transmission will be hacked by Min Abal and the Tenno will see Lotus talking even stranger than usual (although this is just Min Abal in disguise). Min Abal will also inflict one of his "Virus" Attacks on one random Tenno until the 4 servers are destroyed. Once the 4 servers are destroyed, Min Abal will reveal himself in frustration and will challenge the Tenno to "COME AT ME BRO!" Min Abel uses a Corpus Shockwave Shotgun called the Hecta and will most of the time will try to move in close to hit the Tenno with it. He will also launch his "Viruses" in attempt hinder, immobilize, and "steal" powers from the Tenno. Min Abal has a huge Flesh and a fast rechargeable Proto Shield stats. His level in the display shows his level to be "UBER." Attacks: Hecta: Min Abal uses his most prized Corpus Shotgun to dish out incredible Blast damage. This shotgun has innate punch-through that is capable of piercing through any common barricade, but also has fall-off damage in far ranges. Flashport: Min Abal's teleport skill, but by the time Min Abal arrives at his destination, a blast of Impact damage explodes around him giving any Tenno nearby a good stun for Min Abal to launch a quick strike. He can use this even while on the floor or stunned with skills like Rhino's Stomp. [Virus Hack] Contamination: Min Abal shoots a laser from his hacking tool on his left hand on a Tenno. A Tenno hit with this receives 10 damage with a 100% chance to inflict one of these random status ailment (Toxin, Viral, Corrosive, Radiation, Blast, Magnetic, Heat, Cold). Tenno can press [X] to open up the hacking mini game to remove the Virus on their Warframe. This Virus Hack ability has infinite duration until a Tenno removes the Virus. [Virus Hack] Tame: Min Abal shoots a laser from his hacking tool on his left hand on a Tenno. A Tenno hit with this is unable to move, or use any actions until the Tenno press [X] to open up the hacking mini game and wins to free himself from the bondage. This Virus Hack ability has infinite duration until a Tenno removes the Virus. [Virus Hack] Life Sap: Min Abal shoots a laser from his hacking tool on his left hand on a Tenno. A Tenno hit with this has a countdown on their health bar to 30 seconds. If the countdown ends, the Tenno will die and Min Abal recovers alot of health. The Tenno can press [X] to open up the hacking mini game and wins to free himself from the Virus. [Virus Hack] Power Tap: Min Abal shoots a laser from his hacking tool on his left hand on a Tenno. A Tenno hit with this has their abilities dispelled and is unable to use any abilities as long as the virus is inside them. While the Tenno is unable to use their abilities, Min Abal can use the abilities of any Tenno afflicted with this particular Virus. The Tenno can press [X] to open up the hacking mini game and wins to free himself from the Virus. This Virus Hack ability has infinite duration until a Tenno removes the Virus. Abilities Min Abal can use when inflicting {Virus Hack] Power Tap incudes: Ash: Smokescreen, Shuriken Banshee: Sonic Boom Ember: Fireball, World on Fire Excalibur: Radial Blind, Slash Dash Frost: Ice Wave, Snow Globe Hydroid: Tempest Barrage, Tidal Surge Loki: Invisible, Radial Disarm (effects from Conclave) Mag: Shield Polarize, Bullet Attractor Nekros: Soul Punch, Shadows of the Dead (this version he summons 2 random Tenno Specters) Nova: Null Star Nyx: Absorb, Psychic Bolts Oberon: Smite, Hallowed Ground Rhino: Iron Skin, Rhino Stomp Saryn: Venom Trinity: Link Valkyr: Rip Line, Paralysis Vauban: Tesla, Bastille Volt: Shock, Electric Shield Zephyr: Turbulence Environmental Restrictions: The are you fight Min Abal is quite large and will sometimes have enemy Heretic Crewman reinforcements incoming. Appearance: Wears the traditional Crewman outfit, but with two distinct differences.The suit appears to have a patterns of "0s" and "1s." His helmet also resembles the letter "H." Quotes: Lotus???: Tenno, I have prepared cake back in your ship. Lotus???: Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow... Lotus???: Tenno, leave Min Abal alone...or there will be no candy for you. Lotus???: Tenno, I'm pregnant...lol. Min Abal: OMG! HAXORS!! COME AT ME BRO!!! Min Abal: I GOT YOUR POWERS...U MAD!? XD Min Abal: ALL YOUR LIFE BELONGS TO ME! XP Min Abal: PREPARE TO BE PWNED! Min Abal: NOOBS!!! Min Abal: YOU...SUXORZ.... Lotus: Transmissions are back online, and it appears you rid us of this nuisance. Nice work. Retrieve the intel he stole from us and head home. Interesting idea though with hacking into Lotus transmissions, but I think a bit more serious taunts would help a lot, cause right now he sounds like a fail troll. Interesting idea though with hacking into Lotus transmissions, but I think a bit more serious taunts would help a lot, cause right now he sounds like a fail troll. The main goal I wanted for this boss was to be a bit on the goofy side while being a serious threat in combat. based on the bio I made for him, he is a fanatic about ancient culture and society and his actions are heavily influenced by the aspects of these ancients societies. Also, a "failed troll" is more or less how this boss is. Remember, he is only second in command of the Heretics. After the leader is defeated by the Tenno, the Heretics' morale recieves a huge blow. No I completely understand the purpose, and I find the lotus part pretty damn funny. But the concept of your idea can be reworked into quite a serious boss. either way, nice work man. Tenno must hack their suits to rid themselves of this virus. Infinite duration until removed. [Virus Hack] Fatal Recoil: Firing a Primary/Secondary weapon inflicts damage to the infected Tenno.
