"fight For Your Life" Mode Added In Ds Conflict?

I have been playing conflicts recently and this suprised me, i got downed (by a  vauban with angstrum), then he made the mistake to run at me and i shot him to death too with my dual wraith vipers, then managed to get up again!

 

Is this a new feature in DS conflicts? having a chance to recover when killing a enemy player?

 

This remembers me a lot from BL2 lol.
