GratuitousLurking Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Personally, I don't see the complaint on silencers/surpressors being a skin option for the weapons. That way, it'd be easy to integrate into the current weapons (aka an attachment point of some kind similar to how the Sentinel fashion works), and we wouldn't be having some silly effects such as Surpressed Gorgon or Twin Vipers that could result with a general 'Pistol' or 'Rifle' mod, as hilarious as it would be. The stealthiness of a weapon ought to be a tradeoff, in the same way that certain weapons are strong at long range, but not CQB or vice-versa. If the stealthiness of a weapon ought to be a tradeoff - then it would be inherently unbalanced, as there would be a clear distinction between certain weapons. Or you could just - you know, not have the suppressor as a perfectly silent kill. Give it a cool-down effect, so that the more shots that are fired in quick succession, the more suspicious the enemy becomes, meaning you have to pick and time your shots. Even if it has a can on it, you'll still investigate the sound of a full auto burst burst because it's an unusual sound. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
