Weird Affinity/leveling/challenges Issue

I was leveling my Dread up to level 30. I was doing the Dark Sector Defense on Uranus (farming polymer along with xp), and during the mission, I reached level 30. The Bow Proficiency and Bow Mastery challenge notifications popped up during the game.

 

However, the Infestation overran us, and destroyed the pod while I was down and the other player was rezzing me. I lost all those polymer bundles! But, I was happy that at least I had finished leveling my Dread.

 

BUT when I looked in my arsenal, it hadn't leveled:

 

Yet, when I checked my challenges, I still had the credit for it:

 

I thought when you failed a mission, you still kept the xp? And no, I don't have any other bows up to level 30 (you can see my Cernos in the picture above, and both of my Paris's are less than level 10...).

 

Don't worry; I ran the mission again, and re-leveled my Dread back to 30 (and got more polymer...). I don't really know what exactly went wrong there- I just thought you'd like to know about the glitch.

Nuuuuuu!

 

Glitchy game is glitchy. At least you didn't lose all that much affinity. Just do a high level defense/survival run and it'll be done.
