Played Tutorial After New Patch, Picked Different Frame/weapons, Got Pre-Patch Frame/weapons.

Hey guys, I'm new to this game and picked Mag as my first frame pre-patch (by accident).

 

With today's update I was forced to play the tutorial. For me, that was a good thing since I got to pick a different frame and weapons. So that's exactly what I did.

 

After the tutorial I ended up my old Mag though. The same XP I had pre-patch, same weapons, money etc. :(

Is that by design that I came out of the tutorial with my pre-patch frame & stats even though I picked a different one? Or is this some kind of bug..?

It is by design. Sorry, but players aren't allowed to undo/reset their accounts to re-pick the starter Warframe.

I was afraid you might say that.. I was all excited at the idea of getting to pick a new frame.. T______T
Now I'm a bit curious though. Is there any particular reason for not allowing people to reset their accounts?

Its likely that it's due to allowing everyone to try the new tutorial but without the loss off all their time/effort from before the update - only a few people are likely to be in a similar situation where the loss of all their time/effort from before the update would be worth completely resetting their accounts just to try the new player experience.
