Listen... Warframe is rated M for Mature. That usually means that someone needs to be 17 or older (in the US at least) to purchase or play an M-rated game without parental guidance. While it's not a law, it is a recommendation. That means if you're giving your 9 year old child permission to play an M-rated online video game (note: online interactions are not rated by the ESRB and may therefore exceed the given game's rating)... then you are acknowledging the risks that your child is going to be exposed to content such as violence, depictions of blood, crude humor (read: 'your mum' jokes), themes of a sexual nature, etc. By extension, any streams or videos of the game (i.e. Twitch, Youtube, etc) is intended for mature audiences only. There will probably be swearing. There will probably be crude humor. The only rules that streamers really need to adhere to are the code of conduct for the platform they're on; if they violate the rules of the streaming platform, you should report them to the streaming platform, rather than complain about them here. And listen, I don't want to tell you how to be a parent, but if you're worried about your son hearing a 'your mum' joke that wasn't even directed at him, I've got some terrible news for you about middle school and the sorts of jokes your kid is going to hear from other kids. Oh, also, you probably shouldn't be letting a 9 year old play or watch Warframe.

Due to a previous incident regarding excessive spamming, the phrase "Nezha is a trap" or variations on the phrase are blacklisted with the chat's kickbot. As a result, if you or anyone else says it, it will result in a 1 week timeout from the in game chat. That said, it is a violation of the chat rules to tell someone to post phrases like "Nezha is a trap" or other phrases that will result in a kick or chat suspension. If someone tells you to write something in chat, you should report them for violating the code of conduct. This is called 'baiting' and is not something we tolerate. It's a thing on these forums. I've seen it happen on more than one occasion. Even to the extent of people threatening legal action. Also I think it's far worse in the states. Us Americans drink deep from that chalice called entitlement. Hell, just recently some folks protested the returning of some skins they mistakenly thought were a one-time only never to be seen again thing that they purchased for real money (not platinum). Some even demanded refunds or compensation or threatened legal action... And the kicker? It was especially ironic since a bunch of them had also been complaining about the Heirloom pack costing real money and wanting the Heirloom pack to be brought back and not made a limited time only bundle. I honestly don't care either way. I have no real personal opinions on it, whether they brought it back tomorrow for platinum or kept it exclusive 'til the end of time. My post was more about the unfortunate truth that there is no true common solution that will satisfy all sides, as is the case with pretty much enything and everything in such a large game. Even if DE reneges on the exclusivity of the skins as never returning, I doubt it'll be anytime soon. It'll probably be a couple of years, if not more.

Option 1: Re-release the Heirloom collection despite its status as time limited and never returning, and anger all those who purchased it already because their time limited exclusives are no longer exclusive (cue demands for refunds) ... or Option 2: Maintain the original time-limited exclusivity, don't re-release the Heirloom collection, and anger all those who either missed out on it or are now regretting refusing to get it. There is no third option that satisfies everyone.

Reading the RAM with a third party utility is ill advised, as that could be interpreted as "attempt to reverse engineer (except as otherwise permitted by applicable local law), derive source code from, modify, adapt, translate, datamine, decompile, or disassemble or make derivative works based upon the Services or any Content", which is listed as prohibited under 7g of the EULA. A screen overlay with image recognition is probably the route you need to go, not unlike the way Alecaframe works.

The issue I foresee the community would have with it being paid is that for what it is, it would be expected to be free. It's effectively a base model of the frame but an alternate gender/sex; no bells or whistles. Being able to choose your playable character's gender is pretty much a basic option in many games. But there's nothing 'woke' about it though. It wouldn't be 'stuff forced down our necks' either because of how basic and common of a feature it is. I mean, sure, there will surely be people who complain about it being 'woke BS' but frankly they're being idiots or going full 'man shouts at cloud' or 'leopards ate my face' mode. Being able to pick a playable character's gender or sex as part of their appearance is such a core and basic functionality of games, gods forbid any of them discover that pretty much every MMO ever lets you pick your character's gender or sex, they'll probably melt down and start claiming that any game that offers any level of character customization is part of a conspiracy or some such. Basically, there would literally be no rational reasons to complain about a female Rhino model or a male Trinity model (etc) being made to allow players to either further customize their appearance or be more comfortable with the character they're controlling.

Deluxe skins are probably on par or more involved than what a R63'd frame would entail work wise... though the difference there is that DE is able sell the deluxe frames for revenue. If DE were to release R63'd frame models, they'd have to be free for players to select, otherwise the community would probably go thermonuclear. It's a whole lot of tradeoffs that always see someone losing out... If the artists stopped work on deluxe frames and other frame-related cosmetics to create a full set of R63'd frame models, then we'd probably see a cosmetic content draught while it was happening (ergo, bad for us) If the R63'd frames are then released for free, then DE staff put in a good chunk of work to something that wouldn't generate measurable revenue (ergo, bad for DE) If the R63'd frames are released for platinum, the work would generate revenue (good for DE) but would no doubt send the players thermonuclear with negative feedback (bad for us) which would in turn result in less money being spent from angry players (ultimately bad for DE). So... yeah, it'd be nice if we got it, but from a business perspective and trying to maintain regular content drops, it doesn't make much sense.

It's not though. Any time you allow players to trade goods, there's going to be bad apples who try to game the system or scam others. And the people who are committing the fraud (read: people who perform chargebacks on platinum they purchase) do get punished, they get banned. However, just banning users who commit fraud isn't enough, because you now have fraudulently obtained platinum floating out in the economy. That platinum needs to be removed, or else you run the risk of what Tsukinoki said: ... which would absolutely ruin the economy, not only for the players trying to sell items (which would drop to next to nothing because of inflation) but for DE, who rely on users purchasing platinum to earn revenue. You can't remove the platinum from the user who was banned, because they no longer have it. The only answer is to remove the fraudulent platinum from wherever it's currently sitting... if it's in another user's inventory, it gets removed from there. If it was spent on the in-game store, then it gets deducted from the platinum balance of the player who spent it (this is what leads to negative platinum balances, and is why it's a good idea to hold onto any large sum of platinum you receive from a trade for a week or two before spending it). The platinum removal on a chargeback is, as far as I'm aware, an automatic system; it doesn't check when you obtained it or for what you traded it for... which means that if it happens to you, you need to contact DE Customer support to go through the steps to roll back whatever trade was performed to recover the item you traded for the fraudulent platinum. This is where contacting DE Customer Support in advance for any big ticket trades (or if you're worried about possibly receiving fraudulent platinum) comes into play; creating that paper trail in advance will only help you.

It's also not very hard to avoid fraudulent trades. A few common sense checks will go a long way in keeping you protected... Is the account/person you're trading with new, or old? A new account with very little progress/armory is much less likely to be legitimate, especially if they're trying to trade for very expensive items or items they cannot use (i.e. a rare riven for a weapon they don't have yet). Older accounts with much more progress unlocked are more reputable; if they engage in fraudulent trades, then they'll lose all of their progress and time invested in their account after all. Is the trade for a very large sum of platinum for an item that usually sells for much less? If you were expecting to sell something for 50 platinum and a user is offering you 1,000 platinum, that should be a red flag for a risky trade; if the user is trying to trade fraudulent platinum that they know will be removed later, they likely won't care how much they give out. Is a very large amount of platinum being traded? Some precautions you can take involve contacting DE Support about the trade to give them a heads up (think of this like contacting the IRS about a sudden large sum of money you received). Include the name of the other player, the item(s) and values involved. This paper trail isn't necessary, but it could certainly help resolve fraudulent platinum issues much more quickly if they are to occur down the line for the trade in question. Another precaution is to hold onto the platinum you receive for a week or two before spending any of it; in the event it is fraudulent, it will be removed from your account, and as long as you don't spend any of it, your platinum balance won't be at risk of going into the negatives.

It'd be nice to have it, for sure. I'd like to have it, but I also understand why DE probably won't ever do it (lots and lots of additional work, designing a bunch of 'new' frame models specifically). Anyone who says this is a bad idea 'because this frame isn't supposed to be male/female/nonbinary' is just being a silly little dude. Like, really. Sure, there might be some lore related arguments that could be made, such as the fact that Warframes are basically humans infested with Helminth, and therefore Warframes were at one point biologically male or female (or potentially intersex) which would explain male/female morphologies... however this doesn't really prevent having alternate morphologies of a certain frame type. Take for example, if you have the Orokin mass producing Excalibur Warframes; you've got the genetic template for the human(s) to be Helminth'd, now, if you flip their 23rd chromosome from XY into an XX but keep everything else the same, you should have a biologically female human who, if Helminth'd, would become a female Excalibur (inb4 'but Nyx is female Excalibur!' No, no she isn't. Don't you dare compare my darling Nyx to that brute). What I'm saying is that there's no real lore to preclude the existence of R63 Vauban. Cue Vauban ball related jokes. But yeah. It'd be an absurd amount of work for the artists, modelers and animators to release alternate gendered frames, which is probably the reason we'll never get this. Which is a shame, but totally understandable. Small end-rant:

This sounds like they got a radiation proc; radiation can cause enemies to deal dammage to their allies, and likewise can cause fellow players to briefly be able to inflict damage on other players. If you suspect they did it intentionally, you can report them for griefing, but it doesn't sound like any sort of cheating was involved (if there was cheating occurring, you should report them to DE support with a support ticket, also).

If you've already created a support ticket, you'll need to wait for DE Customer Support to address it. If you are able to, you should change the password on the account to try and prevent further unauthorized access. Also, it is not possible for users to delete accounts on their own, so your account shouldn't be at risk of deletion.

So, we here on the forums don't have access to chat logs. We can't see what you wrote, or what kickbot kicked you for. We don't really have a way to verify whether or not you did or didn't say what it was you claim you were kicked for. What this means is that we can't really say whether the kick was deserved or not. We can certainly speculate on the reason and comment on what you say happened. If all you said was "Does anyone need any help with anything?" in Q/A chat and you were kicked, then no, I don't think you should have been kicked, and you should probably submit a support ticket to check with a CSR about it. If you said something other than the above (or what you claim to have said in your post) and are neglecting to disclose it, then that may be the reason you were kicked from the chat. No matter the case, we on the forums can't really do much for you if you have a complaint or inquiry about a chat kick/suspension; you'll need to submit a support ticket for that.

Sorry to hear you've decided to quit the game for the time being. I hope you enjoy whatever game you decide to pick up in its place and, that if you do decide to come back to Warframe, that it's more to your liking in the future.

Your words "[Being civil & constructive] is nice in theory, but isn't useful if DE doesn't listen to the feedback, or, listens to the wrong feedback" is, if I may paraphrase it, more or less saying that there's no point in being civil or constructive, 'It doesn't work so we shouldn't do it' and therefore one should be uncivil and unconstructive (i.e. abusive) instead... ergo my post about it. Moreover, there is no such thing as wrong feedback. Feedback by its nature is subjective, there is no right or wrong, correct or incorrect. The goal of any and all feedback is to convince someone (in this case, DE) to do something differently (if the feedback is negative) or do something more (if the feedback is positive). Disagreeing with someone else's opinions or feedback doesn't make said opinions or feedback any less valid.

Being civil and providing constructive feedback will maximize your chances of being heard, though whether or not you are able to convince the developers to change something is a different story. Meanwhile if you fill your posts with profane rants and verbal abuse, you're more or less guaranteeing that you won't be heard. DE listens when a lot of constructive feedback paints a picture that something needs to change. And there is a lot of constructive feedback being given, for sure. But there's also a lot of profanity-laden rants and verbal abuse being hurled their way... and chances are that if they revert (or partially undo) some of the balancing, the people who are making the posts filled with profanity and verbal abuse are going to go 'Huh, I must have done it! I need to do this more because it's clearly the only thing they listen to!' and that is a really bad fallacy for the community to succumb to. If you want DE to listen, be civil and offer constructive feedback. Even if your feedback doesn't drive a change to occur, you're still going to be given a lot more consideration than if you hurl insults and verbal abuse at the developers. And, being civil and offering constructive feedback has the added benefit of not violating any forum rules... It makes the moderators jobs easier, gives DE something to actually mull over, and gives you the best chance of effecting change in the game. It's a win-win-win.

I mean, yeah. I more or less agree with the majority of what you're saying, shame I can only press the like button once. Balance is a tricky beast, especially when there are so many frames in the game... Having powerful things is good and fun but making sure that everything is viable or has a role is also very important. DE has been tweaking and balancing frames and abilities for pretty much a decade, and it's unlikely they're going to stop. Do they sometimes overbalance things one way or the other? Sure. Will the community always explode over one balance or another? Like clockwork. Game is big. Like really big. Not everyone is going to be happy with changes. Some people will be upset. It's impossible to please everyone, and sometimes for the sake of balance things need to be done that people won't like. ... and gods forbid we moderators try to tell people 'Hey, try to be more constructive and less abusive towards the developers'... I mean, yeah, it is a form of censorship when we remove posts that are overly emotion-driven (read: rage, rant, insult/profanity laden, etc), but that sort of behavior does nothing to rectify the issue... the developers don't want to read feedback that's verbally attacking and abusing them so their likelihood of actually paying it any mind is pretty much nonexistent. Like, really, when's the last time you paid any mind to someone screaming insults and complaints at you? The best way people can affect change is to voice their thoughts and concerns in a civil and respectful manner... and if they can't do that I think they should take a step back from the forums, cool their jets, and return when they can properly articulate their frustrations without resorting to developer bashing. tl;dr people need to seriously chill the heck out, organize their thoughts, and articulate them in a constructive manner

I think your cross-save account will still work fine on PC, though there's no telling what deleting an account that's linked to your cross-save account will do. I imagine at a minimum you won't be able to use your cross-save account on an Xbox ever again, though it may also break other stuff. This might be a question you should field to DE Customer Support.

Ain't me. I don't usually merge threads unless they're very blatantly about the same thing. I reckon that any threads pertaining to Dante are getting swept up into this one... so... yeah, the commonality is Dante feedback. Not saying I wouldn't have merged these threads, just that I've been a bit inactive all day here due to work obligations and watching a film with friends. Edit: the fact that I'm the first one called out any time any moderator does something makes me chuckle. 'Forum Boogeyman' is a fun title.

If you installed via Epic Games (or Steam) then it's unlikely that the problem I mentioned is the culprit. The "%localappdata%\Temp" folder usually points to "C:\Users\<Your windows account>\appdata\local\Temp\"... Though sometimes things might install to the "\appdata\roaming\" area too. The 'appdata' area is more meant to be for sitting account specific data for applications, like user settings, logs, saved instances, cached data, etc. It's not really a place you want things to get installed to or run from.

If you installed the game without administrator privileges, chances are the game installed to your "%localappdata%\Temp" directory, and not a proper installation location like "%programfiles%\Warframe". As the 'Temp' directory name implies, it is a temporary directory that apps without administrator privileges can write to without any issues; it's a temporary storage space for cached data from various applications, and if Warframe gets installed to it, then every time you restart your PC it's probably gonna have parts of the data wiped, resulting in a need to reinstall the game over and over. You may need to remove the game completely and re-run the Warframe installer with administrator privileges, and make sure it installs to a proper installation directory and not the local app data temp folder.
