Ever Since Update 14. Are Event Missions Still Freely Accessible?

Event missions and lotus gifts (those still are afaik) were always accessible even if you didn't have the nodes.

If it was for me I wouldn't care...but a just got a bunch of my friends to play this game...so I'm wondering. Can they play the upcoming event without having to unlock stuff or does the need for a key to unlock a planet now prevent this from happening?


I guess the Stratos alert could be an indicator? Not sure, though.

Not entirely sure, but I would tell your friends that their priority should be completing the star chart. It get's you a hefty amount of Mastery and will let them jump at any opportunity.

Its much simplier to get to specific planet now, kill proper boss

They can still be taxied there, but that won't unlock the node for them. Someone would have to keep on hosting the needed missions for them until they either finish the event or they unlock the nodes the old fashioned way.

 

Regardless, this shouldn't be too big of an issue as most events take place in the beginner planets.
