Acyl Posted April 17, 2013 Share Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) The numbers in puncture are how far the bullets pierce solid objects, measured in metres. So 0.1 puncture is actually 10 centimetres of puncture. Though it's actually worse than that, because apparently unranked puncture mod is really 0.05 puncture, or 5 centimetres of puncture, and the game just rounds up. That's why you don't see any apparent increase going from unranked to rank 1, as far as the card text description is concerned. Most people feel that puncture mods aren't worth it right now, because the penetration value is so low. Penetration was overpowered previously before the new mod system was implemented, so it probably needed to be nerfed (you could pretty much kill enemies through walls).
