Lanka Theory

Hey guys and gals, I'm not a expert in sniper like weapons. Thought i was trying pull up some research in the Lanka builds e.g but not limited to YouTube. So it brought me to the question,  What would my play style be and how i can incorporate it  with my frame build & play style.

 

 

Well i started off with The Loki frame, now i do know Loki is not entirely DPS material though that was not what i had in mind by choosing him as my Fav/ Primary frame to go to. I chose to use him with his 3 of his primary abilities "  Invisibility,Decoy & Radial Disarm" 

 

I am a run and gun type, and mostly rely on his  Invisibility so i can heal  and help teammates, sometimes shadow them so i can keep tabs and help out. So i came to a idea, why not use the  Lanka set up, i know its possible to  snipe with it for good charge damage, so what mods would you recommend for a speed type player?

 

 

- set it up all around with AOE

or

 

-stack on DPS?

 

 

 

Preferably I think its good for a AOE and possible, to cover teammates whom are surrounded.  So what do you think?

for the lanka the electrical AoE build is pretty darn effective, and if you want run'n'gun damage semi-sniper weapon, go for a dread or paris prime. the latter can be build to do ~60k on crits, ~10-20k on average crits

Your plan is what I do when I'm not leveling stuffs >.>

 

Anyway, gas is the only other option to lightning if you want to AoE. 

 

I'll link the options in a moment, but basically it's either higher single target dmg or swap in the event status mods for higher proc chance (which is what I'd do unless you're going extra high level in the void).  

 

Note: Past like lvl 40 (or much lower if you're not aiming for the head against heavy gunners)  in the void or against grineer, the group needs x4 corrosive projection for such a build to be more practical.

Last 2 mods (bottom right'ish) are semi swapable depending on what you have or preference. (bane mods are really good for the procs as well as hammer shot)

 

The lightning build does chain a distance making it more applicable until enemies density gets higher.

AoE Build is pretty fun, it can work well with loki Radial Disarm, kite a bit until they grouped together and fire a shot a see everything dies. Here is my build:

In this build you have gas that does AoE damage but also do not forget that base Lanka damage is Electric, and when proc does an AoE also, so it is perfect for that play style. I really enjoy it
