A Question On Multishot

My apologies if this has been answered a multitude of times before (I suspect it has), but I must ask this question.

 

Are there any actual benefits from achieving more than 100% multishot chance?

 

Let's say, that I have 120% multishot on my Latron, and I fire a single round.

Do I then "spend" all 120% on firing an extra round, or do I spend 100% on firing and extra round, and then have a 20% chance of firing a third round?

120% on latron? What game are you playing? You can only have 90% for primary weapon, secondaries go to 180% with 100% for two shots and 80% for three shots.

Yup the 20% carries over for the third shot. Same goes for criticals and (i think) status

The shotguns are the only primaries that can have 120% multishot chance...otherwise all other primaries are capped at 90%.

That´s one reason, why Secondaries are way better than Primaries(should actually be the other way)
