Onite
Right now, alot of the missions in the game are too tedious and more of a pain in the &#! to do than they are fun. Example? Elimination missions. Theres a set number of enemies in these missions where you have to hunt them all down and eliminate them. And more often than not stragglers or wierd spawns will make you backtrack or miss a single enemy stuck at the beginning of the map, this is NOT fun and the recipe for these missions sets up this disaster way too easily. Its time consuming and unrewarding. So i thought up an alternative or two: option 1:change it so you must fill a quota of enemy kills instead of having a static number of enemies that dont respawn. option 2: Make it so you must kill a number of specially marked enemy mini bosses that are spreadout throughout the level that only spawn on elimination missions. The other mission that really S#&$s on everyones parade are the missions where you must hack panels and collect suitcases. Nothing is more of a punch in the $&*^ than getting a mission change to find out your main objective is to run these panels. The concept of having to run multiple places can be either be fun or not depending on the context. But in this case, having to put away your primary to be stuck to your secondary for the duration of the entire mission. Some similar missions also do this, but this one in particular is the worst. The other thing is on occasion, when your original objective is to run these panels, your objective can sometimes change to delivering a payload as well. Which means if you're flying solo, you cannot carry both the payload and the other objectives at the same time. And its just an absolute nightmare in which you just dont want to play those missions at all. option 1: change the layout of these missions completely, if you want a hacking mission, how about this: At mission start, you must find the central datamass nexus and hack either multiple panels in a single large room, or hack many times on a single panel to disconnect and open up the construct that contains the objective that you must steal. There could be more depth and complexity to this to make it stand out more from raid missions, but its just a rough idea. If anyone else has any ideas for great missions or alternative, dont leave it as a reply, start a new thread. This way you have a higher chance of developers and others on the forums to find it. If you do the rooms in the correct order by following the map then its ok. When you are doing the Spy missions you can drop the item to use your primary weapon and then pick it up again. And on the minimap, the sector you're in will turn gray instead of red when you know you've got all of them in that sector.
