Hot Key To Toggle Sound?

Hi all,

 

I often play Warframe while wanting the sound muted - and then times when I want to unmute it.  It's very onerous to head to the sound menu every time to adjust.  Especially considering I can't adjust the master volume until after I've adjusted another volume.  Is there a hot key or bind I can set that will toggle a global mute on and off?

What you could do is have the volume mixer window open (I'm assuming you're running win7+).

Press the volume icon in the systray, click "mixer" for the relevant audio output device and you'll see some applications with their own volume sliders. From there you can mute warframe.

 

It's not really a hotkey, but if you're running warframe in windowed mode (or similar), then alt+tab+click "mute" under the warframe volume slider should do the trick fairly easily.

 

If you really must, though, you could program a macro and bind it to a hotkey to do just that...
