With weapons that have innate elements as their base damage, are the calculations the same standard formula or does adding the same element add to base damage?
For example, a gun exclusively shoots explosive rounds doing 100 explosive damage per shot and an explosive mod (pretend it exists) is added to add 90 percent is added to make 190 ex damage. Would adding another 90% elemental mod calculate from the new explosive damage of 190 (361 total) or from the 100 base damage (280 total)?
Never actually thought about this until now, even at rank 17.
