Option To Combine Damage Numbers

Can we get an option to combine the damage numbers we see from burst fire / continuous / spread weapons?

IE: Using a shotgun and blasting an enemy -> One consolidated damage number instead of ten little numbers

& Using a shotgun and blasting multiple enemies -> One consolidated damage number on top of each hit enemy

 

Burst fire weapons could consolidate all damage from each burst, and continuous weapons would show built up damage across one click.

I think this would be useful to figure which body parts of enemies would be the most optimal to hit with something like a shotgun (spread makes you wonder-- is it better to lose some pellets by aiming for the head? Or better to land all pellets and hit the chest? How do I even know I'm hitting all pellets at certain meter ranges? Too many numbers!)

No. I don't want to see my damage numbers combined. It's bad that we are forced to combine continuous damage into per second information without a choice. If there ever is an option, it should include continuous damage into it so every damage will be toggled and changed.

I never said I wanted damage numbers to work like how they changed continuous weapons to be. That effectively gutted the Ignis / Synapse for me way back when. I want the option to change how damage is displayed, not applied and dealt. This option would make total damage per shot / second much easier to view.
