CapricaSix
I think it'd be great if we could cancel the emotes by pressing the gear key again while the animation is still active. Or perhaps prioritise attack or movement over it. Or both even. They're all well done and nice but pretty detrimental to the gameplay even if it's only a fun roleplayish addition. The moment you start a long animation and you get a surprise enemy visit, you're doomed. We should be able to cancel it. Dark Souls 1 had this problem and they've fixed it in Dark Souls 2 by letting the backstep cancel the emotes before it's finished.
Breenland
I'd be happy if a simple melee attack brought you out of it. Or, failing to have a melee weapon, just tapping the quick-attack button in general.
ZenBlade01
Yes, you should abort the emote animation if you move or engage an attack/ability use.
Grakesch
Agreed. I'd simply go for pressing any button since escpecially with the gamepad you might break it up too easy when it's not wanted. Although that won't be too terrible as long as you can defend yourself.
Kethus
Or, you know, like almost all MMOs, have the movement keys cancel emotes? Or anything else that's not an emote really, maybe just make your emote replace your idle animation for it's duration. Darkseal
a cancel is needed..... started to do an emote and then a kubrow came out of nowhere and destroyed me at mission end while waiting for another player. It did not end well.
