Slow Energy Gain From Prism?

I've just played a game with Mirage and whenever I used Prism, I would gain energy slightly faster than I would lose it whenever I used Prism.
I gained roughly 0.5 energy per second while Prism was active and gained 0 energy when it was not.

ps. The connection between me and the Host was poor, and it went back to normal when I entered a new game.
