ImNotAKiller
At first, i ran the game with direct-x enabled. The game ran at 70-80 frames but it was constantly skipping frames. After disabling direct-x, the game no longer skipped frames but was capped at 30 fps.
LoopStricken
You... you can't disable DirectX. Some version of it is Have you tried turning Vsync on / off?
ImNotAKiller
Ok thanks for the tip. I had v-sync disabled because it caused more frequent frame skipping whith Direct-X enabled. Enabling v-sync with Direct-X disabled removed the 30 fps cap. Im still only getting 40 fps where as with Direct-X enabled, i was at 70-80 fps. I got my game to a steady 60 fps now with no lag or frame skipping
