Braken Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Right now, certain parts of the forums are in chaos due to the Glaive. Personal attacks abound, and it's becoming a HIGHLY caustic environment. I'm worried that if nothing is done to clean up the forums, people will quit, and any new players will be put off due to all the hostility. I have previous experience moderating for official video game forums. This comes straight from my professional resumé: Gala-Net (Allods Online), Volunteer, Forum Moderation / Public Relations. August 2010 to February 2012. Tutorials, Documentation: Assisted new users better understand the more complex aspects of Allods Online through featured articles. As a member of official wiki editing team, created documentation of loot and bosses for instances. Advisory Committee: Researched, reported, and reproduced game bugs; reviewed work with other “Astral Scholars” and with the GM team during weekly online meetings, via MSN. Fulfilled role as a community representative to game's management staff. Used involvement in game's community to report the impact of announced or released product updates, or to plan fair pricing for microtransactions. Forum Moderation: Encouraged a polite demeanor and discourse among our public discussion forum.
