JustAn0ther
That's not how scanning works. But that is how scanning works. Once the enemy starts glowing orange (meaning Helios has acquired a lock on them), as long as they remain in sight (not sure if that means on screen or Peacemaker-like LoS), the scan will complete even if they've died during it. But don't take my word for it, go test it out yourself. The only enemies this isn't true for are enemies like the Ospreys and Rollers who explode on death and don't leave a body to finish scanning. Rexlars
That's not how scanning works. I'm sorry if you are uninformed, but that is exactly how scanning works. If Helios begins to scan an enemy, but you kill it before the scan is complete, Helios will continue to scan the dead body as long as you remain in range of the body. "Helios can continue scanning an enemy even if it dies, as long as the corpse is still visible and within scanning range. The corpse will continue to be scanned even if shot away with a weapon that pins enemies, such as the Paris, until the corpse flies outside of the scanning range."
