Loki Auto-Teleport?

Not really complaining here, but I was playing on Apollodorus, and noticed that while sneaking around, if I was noticed, Loki would automatically teleport. He'd stand up and appear somewhere else suddenly. Is this a bug or an innate ability or  something?

Uh, were you near a Commander? Those mobs use switch teleport on Tenno.

Was it grineer missions? Because the grineer commander has a very annoying teleport ability.

oh that'd explain it. I found it useful. get behind him, do a jump strike and stab his balls/face
