I am farming Xini for 3 days straight now and got alot of rare mods along the way but not a single Thunderbolt so i think "because it's rare" should not be the issue. In my random groups everyone i asked tell the same story... farming Xini like crazy and no Thunderbolt. DE, can you look over the numbers and Hotfix? Thunderbolt dropchance seems borked. This is not purely RNG, the modifier that affects how frequently it will be presented as a reward seems off, everyone I talk to says they have not seen it since day one, if it were simply the effect of rng, some people would be getting it regardless. This mod supposedly has a higher chance to be dropped by infested, meanwhile fighting infested I am getting truck loads of rare mods that are supposed to have a higher chance to drop from other mobs: Continuity, reach, ravage, sundering strike, metal auger, anything BUT thunderbolt. Morgax Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Rare mods have horrible droprate in general, i got continuity once and wasn't aware of it's value so it got sold, Playing nearly every day for more than month and it didn't dropped ever again, i did tried defense missions like Xini, still no luck. I do not suspect it is easy to do, so it may be a while. From how the devs communicate with the community, I don't believe they will just ignore this issue. Sooooo,you can spend 50 bucks to be sure to get it (ouch, my wallets hurts) Or if you don't need the plats (like most founders), you scratch a few tickets...errr, Mod packs sorry, for 5$ a try, which is for me worse than playing the casino. You play with real money, except you win a digital item. Or you spend endless hours farming for one mod which probably has less than a single percent drop rate. I feel screwed to say the least. It's so lame. DE is going down the path of the worst Korean Pay2win games monetization system. DarcnyssWolfe Posted May 9, 2013 Share Posted May 9, 2013 I'm also under the impression that somethings going haywire, doing Xini a ton and so far have gotten 1 extra copy of each multi-shot, a constant supply of rare warframe abilities as well as rare warframe mods in general. Haven't heard of any friends getting it since the hot-fix (7.10.1) and I'm starting to get pages of rare mods but none are any of the new three. Just adding my two cents. Who woulda thunk? :B Yes, but there is the rare mods (each warframes #4 ability, as well as a few weapon and frame mods), then there is a whole other catagory of rare mods, the stupidly rare mods: Multi-Shot, the various power enchancing mods, and the 3 new mods. I understand not everyone can do something as easy as this, but I almost feel like DE is pushing people to because the drop rate is so low.
