Trying To Make Some Logic... Gram Vs. Scindo, Range & Ap.

I'm just wandering how come the Gram (a plasma bladed sword) has a short range and no armor penetration while Scindo (a solide material  axe) has longer range and armor penetration.

 

P.S. - the Gram is still held by the blade.

Scindo does not have armor pen and it's range, compared to gram, is only slightly longer.

P.S. Gram has the fastest charge speed of all current heavy weapons (with same charge damage).

It might be lame ..... but i feel very confortable in the infested missions with it.

edit: wiki states Gram & Scindo range are equal, players do not.

 

Anyway even if Scindo has wider range Gram has faster swing & charging speed, therefore i prefer Gram

 

I believe it has momentum too

Its my opinion, i hate the look of this sword

Moot point. Scindo has no armour piercing, Fragor has.

 

Gram is the fastest and lightest of the heavy weapons. It slashes.

Scindo is a slightyl longer and heavier version but its also slower. It slashes.

Fragor is as slow as Scindo but slightly shorter and has a crit chance. It'sa blunt weapon.

 

I forgot Amphis which I do not own but the rest of the weps seem pretty balanced.

Gram is better because it doesn't shake up the screen and mess up everyone but the AI's aim.
