Redire
Has anyone ever tried the jedi knight series? I find the combat in this game to be similar in some ways, it would be cool if they added more control to the melee combat in some similar fashion, and expanded what you can do with guns. Katakuna
My memories of that game are mostly just punching people out as a fat alien and taunting them afterwards.
Kercheww
I grew up playing those games. And no the combat is not the same.

You're right, many similarities exist. It was really too easy to block blaster shots with the light saber, you just mashed a button, but it sure did look cool. I have a feeling that the original Jedi Academy inspired several games that exist today like GunZ, S4 League, and Warframe, even if the inspiration is in a roundabout or subliminal way. It proved a 3rd-person Melee/Blade/Gun/Powers model could be super-fun.
Valiant
The combat is reasonably different and unique. Oh flipkicking... grip kicking and yellow fanning, red poking... Mhm lol. I like how WF's combat is at the moment, not too much of either and a decent balance. Edited May 14, 2013 by Naith
