Easy Nekros Qol Change

Desecrate chance 30/40/50/60 -> 100/100/100/100.

 

I'd like to cast my ability and keep playing, not sit there and mash one key for five or six casts because it's the only skill in the game with a random chance to go off or not.  This is a huge part of the reason that desecrate dwarfs all other skills in the usage charts.

 

Extra loot chance can stay as is, and I'd even be fine with an energy cost nerf to match the reduced number of casts needed.

Could be an interesting idea, I'd be okay with it. Hopefully, players would start considering his other skills a bit more than now.

Cast once and lasts for a duration would be nice.

How about turning it into a DPS skill by making the bodies explode in the first cast (keeping the loot chance of course).

That way you don't always get double loot but you don't have to cast it multiple times...plus it gives Nekros a room- clearer for when SotD is unneeded.

Yes, this is the most annoying part about Desecrate to me. Long cast time without NatTal aside.

 

My record so far for casting Desecrate with no effect is 9. After the ninth cast, the body despawned on its own. Good stuff.

 

That's a freak outcome, to be sure, but casting Desecrate 5-6 times with no result is fairly common.

The last QOL change for Nekros would be making Desecrate an Energy Drain ability ala Oberon renew.
