The only common variable was the suits, weapons etc and of course how Hayden was infected by the tecnolycte virus. Who else is in it? Corpus etc... The only thing that's present in both games is the Technocyte Plague, and even then, it looks and acts differently in both games. Hayden ended up by dying because he's too old I guess.... Corpus/Grineer doesn't exist in Dark Sector. You mostly fight some kind of infested things or dudes in Hazmat suits. You should play it yourself, it's a very nice game. It might not be the best, but it's great.
