(PSN)theelix
I'm about to switch out my HDD on my PS4 to a SSHD, specifically this one: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Laptop-2-5-Inch-Internal-ST1000LM014/dp/B00B99JUBQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1435808249&sr=8-4&keywords=hybrid+sshd Is there anything I should know before buying? Is this the right one? Is this one slower than (it shouldn't be) the HDD that's already within the PS4? Is this the right SATA connector type? Just wanna make sure with some people who know what they're talking about, because I currently only have myself and google, though not all information comes up as the first link, nor is it always right. (PSN)F1REBLADE-69
You will need the PS4 O.S on a USB Stick so you can load to the new drive. That is essential. The connector is.....not sure go to the PS4 website. The US site tends to have better info I have found. The site says that there is a list of supported drives....I didn't find it...maybe you can. https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5107 Edited July 2, 2015 by (PS4)F1REBLADE-

(PSN)Pharen
You will need to take note of the physical size of the drive, some laptop 2.5" drives do not fit in the PS4 enclosure - something I was warned of before upgrading [note - the amazon page has a few people saying it fits so it should be okay]. An SSHD is good for performance since the PS4 HDD bus is incapable of using the max speed of a SSD.
