SabreUr
Plenty of machineguns use regular box magazines, so not really, and also, any repeating projectile weapon feeds from a magazine. Just say the magazines are mounted internally or lengthwise (like a P90 or G11). In mass effect the guns used a Gauss style system that had a big chunk of metal in it that was chipped at for a projectile. Ha - you are right. I assumed that this sticking out thing with Grineer marking is Gorgon's magazine. They should give it bigger box with belt (still, LMGs are belt-fed, just belt is put in box). Apart from that no other weapon has visible mag (maybe Strun and Boar. And pistols - except Bolto) Edited January 28, 2013 by SabreUr
Gromann
Nah, there's exclusions to every rule, the Bren LMG had a top mounted box, Stoner 63 had a bottom fed. Belts are for support LMGs as far as I know.
SabreUr
Yeah, but still - BREN was preIIWW design and Stoner had version that was belt-fed. Most countries are getting rid of mag-fed LMG's. For example L86 LSW is scarcerly used by UK soldiers - mostly as designated marksman rifle - but as you said, always an exception. Nevermind, bigger box won't hurt. And My Gorgon is now 250 rnds/mag - that would be cool to see it's ammo belt, even disintegrating one. Or maybe pan-mag? Gromann
Heh, it'd be neat to see a year 3000 take on it. On a side note, there are 100 round box magazines for the AR-15. http://www.defensere..._Magazine_3.jpg That's a 60 round, but the 100 round is essentially a scaled up version of that. *edit* found it http://www.patriotoutfitters.com/img/products/50400/50416.jpg Edited January 28, 2013 by Gromann

Volume
The guns are actually high powered water guns. This explains everything. While we're at it, how about we list our favorite caseless ammunition using rifle? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_G11 I fell in love with the G11 after I used it in Fallout 2, lol. SigFloyd
Weapons don't need to eject bullet casings. Just accept that their technology has progressed to the point of having solid round ammunition propelled by a mechanism inside the gun itself eliminating the need of a shell casing that encloses a combustable propellant. That's all well and good, but the Snipetron has a very clearly audible spent case bouncing around, but no case. The devs need to make up their minds about which weapons are techno-magical or old school. Edited February 4, 2013 by SigFloyd
G3rman
Actually empty casings would be a cool additional feature for PhysX as now it's only used for particles. You mean a terrible addition of lag. Its a waste of processing power.
