Whackhat
Hello, This is a very simple idea. Basically the smaller the weapon, the more stealth damage it should deal. Im not exactly sure how someone expects you to silently kill an enemy without alerting others while using a Fragor, that just seems like a bad time. Single daggers don't have much of a use in open combat. Open combat is usually dominated by things like DHS, Gram, Scindo, etc. Dual or heavy weapons. This leaves single or short weapons feeling left out. The current stealth damage should be translated to a weapon like the cronus and skana. Basic, average melee weapons. Weapons like the Ceramic dagger, Dark dagger, Heat dagger, would all see a significant damage boost (25-50%) while performing a stealth kill (the one with the animation), and weapons more designed for taking out groups or dealing high dps should get a small damage reduction based on if they're heavy/dual. heavy would see the largest decrease, while dual could get around a 25% decrease. This would give those weapons that are currently useless a role (mind you, stealth play is difficult, this woudn't make it easier per-say, but make it more viable on higher leveled maps.) MetalGerbil
this exact question has been asked before. DE has said they are fine with the current numbers. jumping out of cloak with a fragor SHOULD do more damage. you are swinging a radiator on a pipe for goodness sake. the justification for increased damage for daggers in games comes from the idea that you couldnt carry a poleaxe and be stealthy. but still gain damage because they attack was unsuspected. the key there being that the attack is unexpected, NOT that its a particular weapon or even that you are in stealth. the fact that it was a dagger was only due to being able to carry it easily. not because daggers magically do more "stealth" damage. you can stealth in this game with a gram. a gram is many times bigger than a dagger. it makes perfect sense that it does more damage. the role of the dagger is to be a single target, fast weapon. sacrificing speed for damage. it does this job well and it is a perfectly capable weapon with factions taht dont bunch up. lastly, i can shoot fireballs in this game and stomp the ground so hard with my boot it makes enemies levitate and SLOWS DOWN TIME. it is perfectly reasonable that a fragor can be as useful a stealth weapon as any of the others. im a freaking space ninja. Since when do no factions bunch up? Daggers are pretty useless, I don't see them late game anywhere.
Caliocerion
Perhaps daggers should get a +5% movement speed bonus?
Whackhat
The idea behind a dagger doing more damage is that it would be able to strike in the most revealed or critical points of an enemy. If you've stealth killed an enemy with a gram, you kick in their knees, and basically decapitate the guy. Now, you really dont have much room to do this in, and yes, daggers are hardly ever used late game. I would also be ok with a movement speed bonus, or of large weapons increased your visibility to enemies.
_Chaser
i support this idea and find it reasonable.
