Why Did You Guys Add Another Pick Up Sound For Mod Picku Ups?

I finally tuned out the actual mod appearing on screen and today suddenly i hear the old mod equip sound when i pick up a mod.

 

At first i didnt know what it was because i tuned out the mod pop-up and was lost for a bit.

Did that thing really need some extra sound to grab your attention?

i have no idea, it's really distracting because now i look over thinking i picked up something special but it's just a normal mod.

I am glad I wasn't the only one to notice this, I thought I might have been oblivious to this feature from previous patches.

 

While I think the idea of having an extra sound when a mod shows isn't a terrible idea, the fact that it plays a sound when you pick up the mod and then it plays another sound when it is displayed is just too much audio clutter.

 

I personally find the current sound (the mod equip sound) very unpleasant and when you are hearing the sound constantly during a mission it becomes quite irritating.
